OUR PROJECTS

The RSFIPE is working on several initiatives to improve access to French-language care in Prince Edward Island. Some projects provide direct resources to the community, while others aim to strengthen the provision of French-language services through awareness-raising activities and collaboration with our partners.
Projects in action
Support projects
Healthy Early Years (HEY)
We support access to health services in French for young children and their families by working with Cap enfants and other partners.
Home care & long-term care
We strive to improve access to care in French for seniors by supporting initiatives such as bilingual nursing homes and staff training.
Immigration and integration in health
We facilitate the integration of internationally educated health professionals to improve the availability of bilingual care in PEI in partnership with the CIF.
Equipping and supporting our health professionals
We develop tools to track and improve the active offer of care in French in the province.
Success stories!
Canada’s first bilingual health card! Thanks to the efforts of the PEIFHN and its partners, Prince Edward Island became the first province to collect the linguistic variable on its health card to facilitate the evidence-based planning of French-language services.
